Methods 60 patients with gastric cancer were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group; the control group was received routine nursing, the observation group was given problem oriented nursing based on the control group,self-care ability and postoperative recovery were compared. Results Self- concept, self responsibility, self care skills scores in the observation group was higher than those in the control group, there were significant difference( P 0. 05). Objective postoperative anal exhaust time, defecation time, bed time, hospitalization time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, postoperative 24 h pain score was lower than that in the control group, mental status score was higher than that in the control group, there were significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion Problem oriented nursing can meet the demand of rehabilitation knowledge of patients with gastric cancer operation, and promote postoperative rehabilitation.
