Abstract

Objective To explore the application effects of ornidazole combined with oxidizing water gargle in patients with oral maxillofacial trauma. Methods A total of 86 patients with oral maxillofacial trauma were randomly divided into observation group and con- trol group with 43 cases in each. Observation group adopted ornidazole combined with oxidizing water gargle and control group used physio- logical saline gargle. Results Both oral rinse after 3h colonies were compared. That of the observation group was significantly less than that of the control group; 3 -7d after injury, the oral ulcers of observation groups was significantly lower than that of the control group; two groups were compared with the incidence of complications, the differ ence was significant (P 〈 0. 05 ) . Conclusions Ornidazole combined with oxidizing water gargle for patients with oral maxillofacial trauma has a good antibacterial effects. It can reduce the number of oral patho- gens for the prevention of oral complications instead of traditional saline mouthwash. Key words: Maxillofacial trauma ;  Oral health ;  Combined ;  Mouthwash
