Clinical distribution and drug resistance analysis of pseudomonas aeruginosa in our hospital from 2006 to 2009

Abstract

Objective To learn the sample distribution of hospital infection and drug resistance of pseudomonas aeruginosa, to guide rational drug use in clinic. Methods We retrospectively investigated 368 cases of pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in our hospital from 2006 to 2009.Drug sensitivity test was carried out by NCCLS KB disc method recommended by WHO. Results The infection of pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated mainly from sputum 65.8 % and 52.7% of P. aeruginosa infection occurred in ICU. Imipenem, piperacillin/tazobactam, cefoperazone/sulbactam and amikacin were sensitive in P. aeruginosa. Antibiotic resistance to ampicillin, cefazolin, ampicillin/ sulbactam nit rofurantoin and SMZ-TMP were 15.6%, 17.8%, 22.8%, 25.6%. Conclusions The resistance rate of pseudomonas aeruginosa of common antibiotics is high.We should abide strictly by the rules of antibiotics using and use antibiotics rationally.
