Miniature steel plate for II, III Mason type of small head fracture radius

Objective To observe the micro plate in the treatment of Mason Ⅱ,Ⅲ type of radial head fractures.Methods In the first people' s hospital of Qingdao economic and technological development district,from March 2009 to March 2010,46 cases of Mason Ⅱ,Ⅲ radial head fractures were randomly divided into two groups,23 cases in observation group were treated with open reduction and mini-plate internal fixation,23 cases in the control group were treated with radial head excision treatment.All patients were followed up for 3-24 months,the therapeutic effect was observed.Results In observation group,there were excellent in 7 cases,good in 12 cases,the excellent and good rate was 82.61％ ; In control group,there was excellent in 1 case,good in 11 cases,the excellent and good rate was 52.17％; the difference between the two groups was significant,with statistical significance (P ＜0.05).Conclusions Micro plate in the treatment of Mason Ⅱ,Ⅲ radial head fractures with satisfactory reduction,reliable fixation,early functional exercise advantages,and postoperative functional restoration of the elbow in good,is an ideal treatment method.
