Abstract
The endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene intron 4 polymorphism was determined in 316 cases with essential hypertension and 338 healthy controls using polymerase chain reaction and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in Hubei Han Chinese.It was found that the polymorphism (ab + aa heplotype)might be associated with increased risk of essential hypertension(P<0.05).
