Abstract

A planar polarized omnidirectional antenna is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of three folded dipoles printed on PCB. The 10dB return loss bandwidth is 6%(2.39GHz~2.54GHz). It has a good omnidirectional pattern (variations within 0.16dB) in the horizontal plane. The proposed antenna is fabricated and the measured results are in good agreement with the simulated results. The antenna operates at 2.4GHz for WLAN applications.
