Abstract

The mutagenic potential of 4-nitrophenyl 4-chlorophyl(methyl)phosphinate (47B)4-nitrophenyl bis(chloromethyl)phosphinate (16); 4-nitrophenyl phenyl(trichloromethyl)phosphinate (51); 4-nitrophenyl ditrophenyl dichloromethyl(phenyl)phosphinate (77) was assessed by using the Ames Salmonella/Mammalian Microsome Mutagenicity Assay. Tester strains TA 98, TA 100, TA 1535, TA 1537, and TA 1538 were exposed to doses ranging from 1 mg/plate to .00032 mg/plate. It was determined that none of the tested substances had mutagenic potential. (Author)
