Zhang Dai-nian's Contribution to China's Ethics of the 20th Century

Zhang Dai-nian is not only a historian of profound ethical thinking,but also an ethical thinker with creativity and realism.In China's Ethics of the 20th century,Zhang Dai-nian applied the principles of Marxism to ethical research,both initially and systematically.Zhang Dai-nian conducted profound research with distinctive Chinese characteristics on the nature and features of morality,on the principles and norms of ethics,and on the individual's moral features.In this way,he established Zhang Dai-nian's Ethics.On the one hand,Zhang Dai-nian's Ethics withheld the Marxist standpoint,viewpoints and approaches in ethical analysis;on the other hand,he put the general principles of Marxism into the moral construction of China of the 20th Century,in which way,he contributed to the development of the Marxist ethics,and the reform of China's ethical culture.Zhang Dai-nian's Ethics provide an ideal reference for us to withhold and develop Marxist ethics in the new era.
