Abstract

The frequency amplitude function for MDOF structures with MTMD is derived by using the frequency area analysis method.Based on this function,the parameter analysis and design of MTMD are carried out.The numerical example showed that MTMD can effectively reduce the earthquake response if MTMD are accurately designed.
