Study on the immunogenicity of the domestic inactivated hepatitis A vaccine in children

In order to investigate the immunogenicity of the domestic inactivated hepatitis A vaccine in HAV susceptive children(15 years old or below),ninety one susceptible healthy children, whose age are ranged from 2 to 15, were inoculated with 250U/dose of inactivated hepatitis A vaccine according to the 0,6 months schedule. The local and the systemic side effects were observed after vaccination, the seroconvertion rate and geometric mean titers(GMT)of hepatitis A virus antibodies were evaluated after the booster.The results showed the local and the systemic side effects after the primary immunization and the booster immunization are slight and temporary.The seroconvertion rate of HAV antibody was 100% one month after booster, while the anti HAV GMT was 14 407mIU/ml. It was concluded that the domestic inactivated hepatitis A vaccine has satisfactory safety and immunogenicity when it is applied to children vaccination.
