Triple therapy of esomeprazole,levofloxacin and amoxicillin combined for Helicobacter Pylori eradication

Objective To observe the effect of one week triple therapy of esomeprazole,levofloxacin and amoxicillin combined for Helicobacter pylori(Hp)eradication.Methods 90 patients with Hp infection Sufering from Peptic ulcer were divided into treatment group 45 cases and control group 45 cases.The treatment group were administered esomeprazole,levofloxacin and amoxicillinfor one week.The control group were administered esomeprazole,Clarithromycin and amoxicillin for one week.All patients were treated with esomeprazole for another three weeks.Four weeks later,the Hp eradication,symptoms,peptic ulcer healing and side-effects were observed.Results The Hp eradication rate in the treatment group and control group were 93.33%,75.55%,respectively.There was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).The symptom ameliorate rate,puptic ulcer healing rate and side-efect rate between the treatment group and control group were 95.55% and 91.11%,93.33%and 91.11%,13.33% and 15.55%,respectively.The diference was not significant(P0.05).Conclusion one week triple therapy of esomeprazole,levofloxacin and amoxicillin combined is the first choice for Hp eradication.
