Abstract
Pseudorabies virus(PRV) was cultured in ST,PK-15,CEF and BHK-21 four cell lines. The results showed that all the cell lines were very sensitive to PRV and the virus could be multiplied in the four cell lines to 10~(-8.87±0.04) TCID_(50)/mL,10~(-8.5±0.03) TCID-(50)/mL,10~(-7.68±0.06) TCID_(50)/mL and 10~(-7.87±0.05) TCID_(50)/mL,respectively.The cytopathy obviously occurred but was different in the four cell lines. The PK-15 cells became racemose cells after infection for(20±2) hours; The ST cells formed syncytial foci after infection for(22±2) hours; The BHK-21 cells were characterized by formation of syncytium and net after infection for(25±1) hours; The CEF cells became racemose cells after infection for(24±2) hours. The above results showed that ST cell line was suitable for enrichment culture of PRV.
