Clinical study of Qiliqiangxin capsules in treatment of chronic heart failure complicated with arrhythmia

Objective To study the effect of Qiliqiangxin capsules on serum B-type brain natriuretic peptide( BNP) and aldosterone level and heart function in its treatment of chronic heart failure( CHF) complicated with arrhythmia. Methods Ninety patients with CHF complicated with arrhythmia were randomly divided into two groups( n = 45 in each group). All the patients were given cardiac and diuretic therapy. In addition,the patients in the observation group were given Qiliqiangxin capsules and the differences in the serum BNP,aldosterone level and heart function before and after the treatment were analyzed. Results The differences in BNP,aldosterone and left ventricular ejection fraction( LVEF),LVESD,LVEDd between two groups before treatment had no statistical significance( P 0. 05). Compared with those before treatment,BNP,aldosterone,LVESD,LVEDd after treatment were decreased( P 0. 01) and LVEF after treatment was increased( P 0. 01). The condition in the observation group improved more obviously( P 0. 01). Conclusion Qiliqiangxin capsule is effective in the treatment of CHF complicated with arrhythmia,which can help to decrease the levels of BNP and aldosterone and improve heart function.
