Abstract
Zhuang Zi had the chimera to travel the whole nature at his pleasure.Because of the obstruction of appetites, knowledge, fatality and proprieties, the volitional freedom couldn't be achieved. Therefore,Zhuang Zi converted the pursuit of extrinsic freedom into intrinsic freedom. He used the method of unified identity to clear up people's appetites for wealth and status, the ideologism to differentiate right from wrong and the limitations created by the fatality. He resorted to the way of roaming the world and extricated himself from various worldly doctrines, whereby Zhuang Zi achieved the meditative freedom. In the meditative freedom, though people's bodies are within the human society, their souls are beyond it and people enjoy the pleasure of travelling the whole nature in spirit.
