Abstract

Kuala Krai district is located eastem part of Kelantan. The study area is covered by 25km2. The field is located at longitude of longitude of 102° 13' 34.11” E and 102° 16'18.39” E. Latitude that covers of study is 5° 36' 25.33” N and 5° 39' 6.78” N The objective of this study is to produce a geological map with a scale of 1: 25,000. The lithology is consists of two rock units which are sedimentary shale interbedded with slate and tuff unit and granitic rocks unit. A sedimentary rock is correlated with the oldest categorized in Gua Musang Fonnation and Telong Formation. The age is between Permian start to Triassic Center. The sedimentary rock unit is age in range between Triassic (240-220 Ma) in the north-west part of the study area. The geochemical analysis is carried out based on the major elements and trace in four granitoid samples (SSO2, SS03 (B), SS06 and SS07). All samples are classified as I-type ganitoids and fonned in the subduction zone environment.
