A Study on the Improvement of Safety Management of Cadet on Board a Non-Training Vessel : Focusing on the Maritime Universities

Recently, on job training students have been enforced to do excessive working and their right has not been protected. These situations lead to the accident of on job training student, and that is also the case with the on board training at sea. It is important to enhance safety management of on board training student at sea because the training at sea is inevitable for the Maritime University student to get Marine Officer License, on job training and employment after graduation. Thus, this paper analyzes the Acts and Regulations applied to the cadet(student) on board a non-training vessel to enhance safety management and protect right of the Maritime University students under on board training. Then, it proposes a improved act and regulation draft to enhance safety management of the student.
