Archetypes Analysis Of The Character In “Divergent”Film

The purpose of this study is to analyze the archetype character are found in the main character of Divergent film. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. This method describes the analysis in the form of essays. Then the writer uses the theory from Carl Gustav Jung in analyzing the main character through scene pictures and dialogues in the Divergent film. As the result, there were 28 data consist of the archetype character. And there ara 4 archetype charactrer found in the main characters of Divergent film: the shadow the anima / animus, the persona and the self. In addition, from the data analysis it is seen that the main character uses archetype character to keep her true identity in order to survive because the main character is a Divergent.
