Main character’s characterization change in movie Dr. Seuss: The Lorax (2012)

This research’s aim is discovering the changing of main character’s characterization after determining the main character of movie Dr. Seuss: The Lorax . So the problems of this research are about the main character’s feature and the change of main character’s characterization. This research uses structural and descriptive qualitative methods in analyzing data of research. The data is taken from the movie Dr. Seuss: The Lorax which is directed by Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda. Although the data is taken from movie, the researcher presents the data in this research in the form of picture which is taken by cutting some scenes from the movie. While the theory that is used theory about character and characterization. The research is analyzing the pointed characters through the main character theory. And there are main character, antagonist character and guardian character from the pointed character in the story. While the characterization itself is shown through the appearance, the external and internal action, through the reaction of other character, and also though the dialogue of the main character. The result of the research is indicating some character’s features which determining main character of the story and characterization change of main character altogether with its changing causal.
