Abstract

[Objective] To analyze the distribution and antibiotics resistance of Shigella in Zhengzhou from 2005 to 2007,so as to guide the choice of antibiotics.[Methods] According to the 'Project for Surveillance of Shigellosis in China',the detection, isolation and identification for Shigella were performed.K-B diffusion method which was recommended by NCCLS was used to test drug susceptibility.[Results] Among 116 strains of Shigella isolated,97 strains were S.flexneri(83.6%),19 strains were S.sonnei(16.4%)and neither group A nor group C was detected.Among the 97 strains of S.flexneri,47 strains were F4c(40.5%),17 strains were F2a(14.7%),21 strains were F1a(18.1%),4 strains were Fx variety(3.4%),5 strains were F2b(4.3%),1 strain was Fy variety(0.9%)and 2 strains were F4a(1.7%);Both Naidixic and Tetracyclin were 100% drug resistant, while the resistance rates of Shigella spp.to Ampicillin,Rifampicin,Sulfarmethoxazole and Chloram-phonicol were 94.2%,88.4%,79.7% and 75.4%,respectively.[Conclusion] F4c was the major prevalence serotype.Mul-tidrug-resistant rate was 100%.Clinic treatment needs the guidance of susceptibility test.
