Abstract

The simplest method of sewage disposal is by dilution. If the sewage is discharged into a sufficiently large body of water which would carry the pollution thus created away from areas frequented by human beings or from where it can create a nuisance, it is also the cheapest, easiest and, from the point of view of the sewerage engineer, much the best method.
