Abstract
This article first researches the necessity and the basic process of network survivability, then expounds the principle of protection and restoration. The article analyzes ASON survivability features and elaborates on the survival mechanisms in ASON, Finally, gives classification exposition according ASON on the protection and restoration of the relevant technical requirements.
