A study on the survivability of control plane for ASON

Abstract

Survivability is a key technology of the ASON (Automatically Switched Optical Network).Presently most of the works are focusing on the survivability of transport plane while the survivability of control plane is often ignored. This paper introduces the architecture and survivability strategy of ASON,firstly. Then the survivability method of control plane is analyzed. A novel logical-independent control plane survivability scheme is presented.
