Abstract

ASON introduces a new control plane,and it has more control capacity. ASON also can provide more survivability styles. The study of survivability of ASON can be satisfied with all kinds of increasing communication services,and it can dynamic distribution and management with optical transmission network,and also can provide high credibility path and failure resume. The paper puts forward to the means of ASON and compares the differences between ASON and traditional optical network,at last it points out the problems which should be settled.
