Abstract
Objective To investigate the impact of operating room nursing intervention on recovery of patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal resection. Methods From October 2013 to October 2014,312 patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal resection in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 156 cases in each group. Patients in the observation group received perioperative nursing intervention and patients in the control group received routine nursing. Mental state, postoperative recovery, adverse events and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after nursing. Results After nursing, scores of Hamilton anxiety scale( HAMA) and Hamilton depression scale( HAMD) decreased significantly in two groups. Scores of HAMA,HAMD and postoperative visual analogue scale( VAS),and incidence of adverse events in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group( P < 0. 05). Time to postoperative off-bed activity, postoperative anal exhaust, borborygmus recovery and intestinal peristalsis recovery in the observation group was significantly earlier than those in the control group( P < 0. 05). Postoperative hospital stay in the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group( P <0. 05). Nursing satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group( P < 0. 05). Conclusion Operation room nursing intervention can significantly shorten postoperative recovery time in patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal resection, with high security and acceptability.
