Impact of Comprehensive Nursing Intervention on Patients with Thyroid Cancer after Surgery

Abstract
Objective:To investigate clinical efficacy of comprehensive nursing intervention on patients with thyroid cancer after surgery.Method:60 patients with thyroid cancer treated by surgery in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2012 were divided into the control group and the treatment group,each of 30 cases.The control group were treated by perioperative routine care,the treatment group were treated by comprehensive nursing intervention on the basis of the control group.The pain scores of 1,24,48 h,hospitalization time,SAS and HAMA score of two groups were compared.Result:After treatment,postoperative 1,24,48 h VAS scores of the observation group were(3.6±0.8),(2.2±0.7),(1.9±0.5);postoperative 1,24,48 h VAS scores of control group were(4.7±1.0),(4.9±1.3),(5.3±0.6).The VAS scores in 1,24,48 h of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P0.01).The postoperative hospital stay of observation group was(6.5±1.2)d,it was significantly shorter than(8.6±1.7)d of the control group(P0.01).After treatment,the SAS and HAMA scores of observation group were(45.18±3.06),(14.12±2.03),they were significantly lower than(51.34±3.24)、(17.45±2.82) of the control group(P0.01).Conclusion:Comprehensive nursing intervention on the basis of perioperative routine care in patients with thyroid cancer can effectively relieve pain and anxiety,promote recovery,shorten hospital stay.
