Abstract

Radioactive phosphorus was taken up in histiocytes in the subcutaneous connective tissue beginning 10 minutes after injection and reaching the maximum 16 hours later. Six hours after the injection, even the fiber cells showed definite phagocytosis. Cell infiltration was recognized from 1 hour after the injection; however, no uptake of phosphorus was found in the infiltrated cells. (Abstr. Japan Med., 2: No. 5, May 1962).
