On the Separation and Coordination of College Students' Moral Knowledge and Behaviour

Along with the development of socialist market economy and the policy of reform and opening to the world,new ideas and concepts have emerged in an endless stream.Many backward and outmoded notions have been renewed.However some old and backward moral concepts are still in existence;meanwhile,some wrong ideas and notions disguised as new ones,have obscured people's vistas,and have vacillated people's standards for good and evil,right and wrong,which has brought forth a great challenge to the traditional morals.Therefore,in order to cultivate the views of value and standards of cognition and evaluation in the contemporary university students,we should not only carry forward and maintain those excellent traditional moral concepts and notions,but also recreate the moral ideas,keep pace with the times,foster the spirits of the times,help every university student understand and grow a series of basic codes of ethics and codes of behaviour,such as:patriotism、devotion,readiness to serve the society,loyalty to one's post,honesty and promise—keeping,innovation and gumption.
