Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical value of Leukotriene receptor antagonist in the treatment of cough variant asthma. Methods Patients with cough variant asthma were randomly divided into 2 trial groups( 35 in each group) : observation group and control group. Both groups were treated with inhaled glucocorticoids( Budesonide),when necessary, inhaled β2- receptor agonist( Salbutamol);the observation group was treated with Montelukast. Before and after 8 weeks treatment, the clinical efficacy and pulmonary function were observed. Results The total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than control group( P 0. 05); the pulmonary function indices of both groups were significantly increased( P 0. 01),and the observed group was better than control group( P 0. 01). Conclusion The clinical efficacy of Montelukast combined with inhaled glucocorticoids is exact in the treatment of cough variant asthma.Montelukast can control the asthma attack and improve the pulmonary function, which has a good compliance with no significant side effects and can be widely used as clinical medication in the treatment of cough variant asthma.
