Preliminary Investigation on Ornamental Shrub Resources in Guangdong

[Objective] The aim of the study was to research the resources of wild ornamental shrub plants in Guangdong Province.[Method] Data were obtained through investigation in field and literature review.[Result]There were 523 species of shrub plants belong to 220 genera and 77 families in Guangdong Province.They were 79.38%,60.77% and 36.94% of species,genera and family of shrub plants in Guangdong.The dominant families and genera of ornamental shrub plants in Guangdong were put up and the ornamental shrub plants were classified into 10 groups.[Conclusion] The study laid a foundation for usage of the ornamental shrub resources.
