Clinical analysis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in children

Objective To analyze the clinical features and diagnostic methods of mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP) infection and further improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in children. Methods Symptoms and diagnostic methods of 286 patients who were diagnosed to suffer from MP infection,were analyzed retrospectively. Results One hundred and six cases(37.1%) suffered from extra-pulmonary infection and two hundred cases(69.9%) suffered from mycoplasma pneumonia. The rest of the affected system includes nerve,cardiovascular,urinary,blood,digestive system,skin and lymph nodes. Conclusion Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection symptoms varies easily and will damage the rest of the system. Early diagnosis and final diagnosis should be based on the clinical symptoms and MP-IgM antibody respectively.
