Abstract

Motion screw and constraint screw of each branched chain of 4-RPC parallel mechanism were analyzed based on screw theory, and DOF of the mechanism was obtained.Because of the similarity of 4-RPC parallel mechanism and its evolved mechanism in structure and kinematics, taking 4-RPC parallel mechanism as an example, the kinematics characteristics of this kind of mechanism was studied indirectly.
