Abstract
Objective To study significance of several serum tumor markers in the diagnosis of early stage cervical carcinoma. Methods 60 cases of cervical cancer patients( proven by pathology) was the observation group, and 60 cases of healthy women healthy was the control group. Serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen( squamous cell carcinoma,SCC),carcinoembryonic antigen( carcinoembryonic antigen,CEA),carbohydrate antigen 125( carbohydrate antigen 125,CA125) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9( carbohydrate antigen 19-9,CA19-9) level of the 2 groups were compared. Results Levels of serum tumor markers SCC,CEA,CA125 and CA19-9 in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Sensitivity of SCC,CEA,CA125 and CA19-9 single test in the diagnosis of cervical cancer were 51. 67%,46. 67%,56. 67%,60. 00%,all the were significantly lower than sensitivity of combined testing( 86. 67%). The lower the differentiation of cervical cancer tumor, the higher the level of tumor markers; serum level of SCC in cervical squamous cell carcinoma was significantly higher than that of squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix, while CEA,CA125 and CA19-9 in cervical squamous cell carcinoma was significantly lower than that of squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix, the differences were statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion Serum SCC,CEA,CA125 and CA19-9 level is helpful in early diagnosis of cervical cancer, and the combined detection of tumor markers can improve the sensitivity of diagnosis, and indicate pathology type and differentiation degree. It contributes to the early treatment.
