Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Bleomycin in the treatment of patients with malignant pleural effusion.Methods:32 cases of malignant pleural effusion with thoracic drainage were injected by Bleomycin after sufficient drainage.5-7 days later, the patients who still had pleural effusion received the second pleurodesis. Results:The effective rate was 78%(25/32);while the KPS scores decreased significantly after treatment compared with before treatment(P0.05).Conclusion:The effect of Bleomycin in the treatment of patients with malignant pleural effusion is effective with low toxicity, thus it serves as an effective regimen for malignant plural effusion.
