Abstract
Objective: To investigate the protective effect of 4 Hongbeiyegen extracts: water extract( WE),petroleum ether extract( PE),ethyl acetate extract( EE),n-butanol extract( BE) against acute liver injury in mice induced by Con-A. Methods:Immunological liver injury was induced in mice by Con-A injected via the tail vein. The serum levels of alanine aminotransferase( ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase( AST) were determined. And the changes of structure of liver tissue in mice were observed by the liver pathological examination. Results: 4 Hongbeiyegen extracts can not only significantly reduce the serum levels of ALT and AST,but also improve the morphology of liver. Conclusion: 4 Hongbeiyegen extracts offer significant protective effect against immunological liver injury in mice induced by Con-A.
