Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To explore the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of Yugu capsules in mice.METHODS:Experimental mice were divided into 6 groups, normal group, model group, aspirin group and Yugu high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose groups. The trials of hot plate test were divided into 5 groups without normal group. The analgesic effect of Yugu capsules was investigated through hot plate test and acetic acid writhing test. The anti-inflammatory effects were observed through xylene-induced ear swelling and acetic acid-induced capillary vessel permeability in mice.RESULTS:Compared before medication, pain thresholds of high-dose and medium-dose groups were significantly delayed 180 min after medication(P0.05).Compared with normal group, the writhing frequency of model group was increased markedly(P0.05).Compared with model group, the writhing frequency of high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose groups were markedly reduced(P0.01 or P0.05).Compared with normal group, the degree of ear swelling of model group was increased significantly(P0.01).Compared with model group, the degree of ear swelling high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose groups were markedly reduced(P0.01 or P0.05).Compared with normal group, the capillary vessel permeability of model group was markedly increased(P0.01).Compared with model group, the capillary vessel permeability of high-dose and medium-dose groups were decreased markedly(P0.05).CONCLUSION:Yugu capsules have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. The effects have no significant correlation with dose.
