Clinical Observation of Therapeutic Alliance for Children Asthma with Montelukast Sodium and Budesonide

OBJECTIVE To research and evaluate the curative effect and side effects of therapeutic alliance for childish asthma with montelukast sodium and budesonide.METHODS Seventy-eight children with asthma was collected from asthmati outpatient department and the department of pediatric of Kaiping central hospital from 2003 to 2005,and assigned into treatment group 39 cases and control group 39 cases.The treatment group were treated by montelukast sodium 4 mg·d-1(two years to five years),5 mg·d-1(five years to fourteen years) take orally once every night in addition treat by imbibing budesonide 400 μg·d-1.The control group were treated only by imbibing budesonide 400 μg·d-1.Period of treatment was 12 weeks,and followed the tracks of patient for 12 weeks.During the observing,imbibing β2 was further given as asthma spasm. RESULTS In the treatment group,the times of asthma spasm and dyspnea in the night and the days,and the times of using short effective β2 adrenoceptor agonist were less than in the control group,there were marked difference between two groups(P0.01).In the treatment group,the rate of ameliorated FEV1 and PEF were better than those in the control groups,there were marked difference between two groups(P0.05),and the adverse effects were reduced.CONCLUSION Montelukast sodium connecting with budesonide curing childish asthma have powerful affect,its effect is better than that only by imbibing glucocorticoid.It can become a good method curing the childish asthma.
