Clinical study of Babaodan capsules in treating jaundice viral hepatitis

Objective To observe clinical efficacy of jaundice viral hepatitis and effect of liver function treated by Babaodan capsules.Methods 112 viral hepatitis cases were randomized into two groups.The treatment group was treated with Babaodan capsules 0.6g tid in oral based on conventional treatment and conventional treatment were used only on control group.The course was two weeks in two groups.The improvement of main clinical symptoms and signs were observed after three courses.The liver function(ALT,AST,TRiL,γ-GT and TBA) and TBiL recovery time and recovery rate were measured and observed.Results The total effective rate in trial group(92.9%) was higher than that in control group(78.6%,P0.05).The improvement of symptom and sign in the treatment group was superior to that of the control group(P0.05).ALT,AST,TBiL,γ-GT and TBA after treatment were obviously decrease as compared with those before treatment in groups(P0.05).TBiL and TBA in treatment group were lower than those in control group after treatment(P0.05).TBiL recovery time and recovery rate in treatment group[(31.52±4.60) d,80.4%)] was superior to that in control group[(44.32±5.70) d,60.7%,P0.05,P0.01)].Conclusion Babaodan capsules were good at jaundice eliminating,liver enzymes decreasing,cholestasis improving and no side effect.
