Abstract

Objective To investigate the changes of nailfold microcirculation in idiopathic edema and study the therapeutic effect of Honghua injection in patients with idiopathic edema and its curative mechanism for microcirculation. Methods The observation for the nailfold microcirculation was conducted in the therapeutic group before and after treatment (52 patients with idiopathic edema were treated by Honghua injection) and normal group treated by routine method.With the help of the microscope,16 indexes were analysed by Tian's Multiple Quantitative Evaluation Method of Nailfold Microcirculation.The clinical effect and changes of nailfold microcirculation were observed and recorded carefully.Results Before the treatment,there was obvious microcirculation disturbance in patients with idiopathic edema,which was in light or moderate abnormality.After treatment,the symptoms of edema disappeared or were relived with different degrees and the total effective rate was 86.5%.Improvement for microcirculation disturbance with idiopathic edema was evident.The result showed that all parameters decreased obviously compared with that of pre-treatment,restoring to basically normal from medium abnormality before treatment.The total value reduced to 1.591 ±0.725 from 4.478±0.813 (P0.01).Conclusion Honghua injection has a good curative effect on idiopathic edema and its mechanism might be related to improvement of microcirculation.
