Abstract

Objective To discuss clinical application of cytokeratin 19(CK19) gene expression in the diagnosis and therapy of breast cancer. Methods CK19 gene expression in clinical samples of 20 healthy women, 40 patients with benign breast disease and 86 patients with malign breast disease were detected by FQ-PCR. CA153,CA125 and CEA were detected by chemical luminous method, and the results were analyzed comparatively. Results The sensitivity of CK19 to diagnosis breast cancer was higher than those of CA153,CA125 and CEA specialy to early diagnosis. Four index were declining after operation and chemotherapy. Conclusion Gene expression of CK19 can give objective evidence to the diagnosis, therapy and prognosis of breast cancer.
