Research on Pesticide Control of Sugarcane Pests

Abstract

Seven different pesticides for sugarcane pest control were conducted in field. The results showed that the control effects of 40% Virtako WG, 30% thiamethoxam SC and 5% Isoprophl Terbufos GR on sugarcane aphid, thrips and stem borer were better than those of the other treatments. Plant height, cane yield and sugar yield of 40% Virtako WG, 30% thiamethoxam SC and 5% Isoprophl Terbufos GR were significantly higher than those of the other treatments. 3 pesticides were alternately applied with combing sugarcane seeding and fertilization in sugarcane field.
