Pest Control Test of Insecticide Virtako in Sugarcane

Abstract

The insecticide 0.4 kg/ha Virtako(DuPont's chlorantraniliprole + thiamethoxam) 40% WG with fertilizer combination was applied in sugarcane field at the stage of cane high earthing up.The results of different sites showed that there was a good control of Virtako on leaf pest,cane stem pest and underground pest.The control effect on chafer,sugarcane stem borer,thrips and aphid was up to 36.1%,75.0%,63.8%,78.8%,96.1% and 100% in comparison with carbofuran,respectively.
