Psychological Health Status Among Students in Health Schools in Anhui

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the psychological health among students in health schools, and to provide the evidence for the interventions. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 2 500 students from three health schools in Anhui by using SCL-90. Results The mental problems were mainly sensitivity in interpersonal relationship (6.9%), obsessive-compulsory(6.4%) and depression(5.7%).Higher scores were found in the factors of sensitivity in interpersonal relationship, depression and phobic anxiety among girls(P0.05).The scores of somatization,interpersonal relation-ship,depression,hostility,phobic anxiety, paranoid ideation were higher among secondary school students than among college students (P0.01). Statistical significance was found in the factor scores of the students in different grades(P0.01), and the factor scores were increasing with grades. The factor scores of the students were citytowncountry, and statistical significance was found in the factors of interpersonal relationship, obsessive compulsory, anxiety, depression, phobic anxiety and psychoticism (P0.01). Conclusion The general psychological health level of health school students is relatively low. Therefore the intervention of psychological health should be carried out according to different students.
