Abstract
Objective:To explore the predictive value of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL)and kidney injury molecule-1(KIM-1)in critically ill Children with AKI.Methods:Children from PICU,department of nephrology and health examination center were divided into critically ill ehilgren with AKI group(AKI group),critically ill children with non-AKI(non-AKI group),CKD group, healthy control group(control group).Serum ereatinine(sCr),urine NGAL and urine KIM-1 were compared among the four groups. Results:The urine NGAL and urine KIM-1 increased significantly in AKI group than those in the other three groups(all P 0.05).There was no significant difference of urine NGAL and urine KIM-1 among non- AKI group,CKD group and control group(all P 0.05).The renal prognosis were positive correlated with the increased times of peak urine KIM-1 and urine NGAL,whllle CCr was negatively correlated. Conclusion:The levels of urine NGAL and urine KIM- 1 may predict the severity of renal injury and renal prognosis.
