Investigation on the Housing Decoration Pollution from Formaldehyde

Abstract
Objective To undestand the housing deciration pollution from the formaldehyde Methods The house they selected had been decorated in deferent period They detected formaldehyde in all of them After analying the relative factors,the average concentration of formaldehyde in indoor air exceeded 7 75 times as high that of the sanitary standard of indoor places(0 08mg/m 3),and the over stanard rate of the air samples was 100% in the groud of 3 months after decoration The conrresponding data in the group of 1 year after decration was 2 75 and 91 7% respectively The concentration of formaldehyde in the 1 year after decoration is lower than that in the 3 months after decoration And ventilation can lower the concentration ofindoor formaldehyde obviously Conclrsion The main factors effecting the sanitary quality of indoor formaldehyde were defined as follows:the indoor ventilaion,period after decoration and the density of plywood
