Abstract
Objective:To observe the effects of moderate-intensity exercise on uterus,on MDA content,SOD and GSH-PX activity in ovariectomized rats.Method:48 female SD rats were divided into 4 groups, twelve rats a group:sham operation(Sham),ovary resection(Model),Diethylstilbestrol(DES) and exercise(EX).A piece of fat was cut on Sham and the uterus were cut on other groups. Each group were fed according to various demands after operation.Next step is to compare with the results of each group after 12 weeks. The results include the wet weight of uterus, the thickness of endometrium,MDA content,SOD and GSH-PX activity.Result: Compared with DES group, the other groups had a substantial deduction in body weight(P0.05 or P0.01) and thickness of endometrium(P0.01);Compared with Model group,DES group and EX group increase the content of MDA and decrease the activity of SOD and GSH-PX(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion:Moderate-intensity exercise could maintain ovariectomized rats a healthy weight, and have a weak effect on uterus, could decrease the content of MDA and increase the activity of SOD and GSH-PX,could increase the antioxodation of skeletal muscle in ovariectomized rats, could improve the capability of muscle and defer its senescence.Moderate-intensity exercise has a better effect than diethylstilbestrol in ovariectomized rats, which can be used in clinical practice.
