Abstract
Objective To study the expression and clinical significance of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in thyroid papillary carcinoma.Methods Expression of PCNA and VEGF in 30 thyroid papillary carcinoma cases,30 thyroid follicular adenoma and 30 adjacent normal tissues were detected by using immunohistochemical staining technique(S-P method).Results The positive rates of PCNA and VEGF in thyroid papillary carcinoma were significantly higher than those in thyroid follicular adenoma and the normal thyroid tissues(P0.01).PCNA and VEGF were positively correlated in thyroid papillary carcinoma.Conclusion The expression of PCNA and VEGF could be the diagnostic indexes of papillary thyroid carcinoma and also had guiding significance for clinical treatment and patients' prognosis.
