Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the HIF-1α expression and tumor biological characteristics in non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). Methods The expression of HIF-1α in NSCLC tissues was evaluated by immunohistochemical method. Results The positive rate of HIF-1α expression in NSCLC was 71.11%, and significantly higher than that in normal lung tissues(P0.005). There was a significant correlation between HIF-1α expression and tumor lymph node metastasis, and TNM stages, but no significant correlation was found between HIF-1α expression and tumor size, pathological grade, and tumor pathological type. Conclusion The results suggested that the expression of HIF-1α correlates closely with the metastasis and invasion of NSCLC.
