Supplements to the Sound Change Patterns of Old and Modern Chinese

Ever since ancient times，the tones，rhymes and tunes of Chinese language have undergone great changes.For-mer researchers have discovered regular patterns of these changes.In this paper，the author points out that the present sound change patterns are not complete according to the development of Chinese sounds and offers supplementary patterns to it.The author elaborates that nasal voiced entering tone has changed into falling tone，vocal voiced level tone has changed into high-level tone，and level tone is unaspirated with the loss of voiced sound.
