Discussion on Physical Education Teaching Mode in Colleges and Universities

As one of the main courses in colleges and universities, physical education course is facing the same renovation and reform of its system and teaching mode as the other subjects. By investigation and analysis of the physical education teaching mode in colleges and universities the methods of combining experimentation, mathematical analysis and consultation of literature were applied to demonstrate the necessity that the teaching reform in colleges and universities should comply with the quality-oriented education. To establish the teaching mode with the quality-oriented education as its guiding thinking and with the course inside class and outside class merged as an organic whole was advanced. The results of the research showed that the physical education teaching mode in colleges and universities should follow the principle health first. And the students should be allowed to study in PE courses by selecting their items freely. The mergence of the inside class and outside class course will improve the teaching effect of school physical education.
