Abstract
Objective To study the effect of hemoperfusion on serum concentration and prognosis in the patients with severe amitriptyline intoxication.Methods Sixteen patients with severe amitriptyline intoxication were involved and hemoperfusion were performed.The serum concentration of amitriptyline were analyzed before and after hemoperfusion by use of reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography.Results The serum concentrations of amitriptyline were decreased from(0.74±0.23)μg/ml to(0.17±0.09)μg/ml after hemoperfusion.The symptoms and signs of severe amitriptyline intoxication were improved obviously.Conclusion Hemoperfusion can eliminate serum amitripyline effectively.
